This is another find from Re-Edited Vintage. It is a Japanese made dress with exquisite detailing. You can’t believe the amount of pintucking in this dress! It must have taken ages to make. I feel incredibly lucky to have it. It is the kind of dress that calls for a petticoat, and luckily I have a ruffled Laura Ashley petticoat that went with it perfectly. See, I knew it would pay to hoard my Laura Ashley! The paper parasol is a thrift store find. It’s so funny how this dress, petticoat, and parasol went together so well. I often find vintage to be serendipitous that way.
I regret that we didn’t get a good photo of my white granny boots in this shoot. They are my prized possessions! Rachel Comey made them last season and I ordered them as soon as they were available for purchase. I was going crazy with impatience until my pair arrived. I’m nuts for Victorian style boots so these really were a dream come true for me. I will be sure to get a good picture of these boots soon, you all have to see them. If Rachel Comey made these again, I would buy them in every color. It would be so great if they came in a patent red, or even in a multicolored combination.
