This is a scan from FRUiTs magazine: I love everything about this girl's dumpster-diving fairy princess look. I would totally wear her sneakers. What I'm wondering is whether or not her purple jacket with the patch and fox fur collar is a reference to the ubiquitous Balenciaga fall 2007 collection.

It depends on how long ago the picture was taken because some fruits magazines or books just use pictures from the 90s. I don't know. Still a good outfit to me. Plus, I love fruits.

i think it is, but kind of like a "haha i can make this myself, i don't need to spend lots of money on it!" she looks cute, whatever the case :]

I doubt it's a conscious reference/homage: fur is huge in Japanese street style, especially the outfits shown in FRUiTS, etc. They even (particularly?) like the fur stoles with heads and paws attached.

i don't know lauren, i think it's a little close to the mark to be an unconscious reference.

I think that it's in reference to but I don't think it's a finger or in honor of...I just think it's a look she loved and wanted to try on her own.

I can't believe you put the image of Jesus here with that finger gesture. That's beyond disrespectful, a blasphemy, and lack of sensitivity towards Christians. Do remove that. It's beyond foul taste.

I really like your personal style but the Jesus photo is very offensive. I'll stop visiting for the meantime and maybe just come back someday.
